Mass Effect 2: Kasumi's Stolen Memory DLC Announced

Bioware announced today that “Kasumi’s Stolen Memory” will be the title of the next downloadable episode for Mass Effect 2.  Originally found in the source code of the PC version by “L33T HACKERZ” and posted online, Kasumi’s existence has been known for some time.  However Bioware has been relatively tight lipped about her until today.

The episode will last roughly an hour and a half.  Shepard will encounter Kasumi, a high class thief with expensive taste, on the Citadel.  She will agree to join your crew under the assumption that you help her with  a “job”.  The mission will focus on recovering a piece of art from a shady art collector (not the alien type), and her loyalty quest will have you hobnobbing with high society James Bond style.

As the news reports on Illium and the Citadel stated, Kasumi is a human thief with expensive tastes.  While her class is not known, we do know that Kasumi will have the ability to cloak similar to the Infiltrator.  Once cloaked, Kasumi can sneak up behind enemies and “assassinate” them with her Onmi-tool.  When you gain her loyalty, Kasumi gains the flashbang grenade ability which Shepard can then utilize.

Also included in the episode will be the new “Locust” SMG, as well as a few achievement points to nab.   One thing to note, “Kasumi’s Stolen Memory” DLC will not be free.  Bioware is still discussing pricing “internally.”  We’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we hear how much it will set you back.  Be on the lookout for Kasumi April 6.
